About This Game STORYIn 2194 humanity has populated the entire galaxy. As our existence expanded, crime became harder and harder to control in the vast reaches of space. As a result, laws became more strict. Government attempts to wrangle the issue bolstered a growing police force and, over many years, the reach of law enforcement grew larger and more aggressive. The general population, simply wanting to feel safe, grew more accepting and the first fully commercially run prison systems took form.Nearly one hundred years later, in 2290 imprisonment is commonplace. A blind trust has been placed in the commercial justice system eventually landing everyday people in jail for years for even the smallest offenses creating a massive divide between the idea of prisoner and person. Hundreds of commercial prisons and law enforcement companies thrive.Devaluing of prisoner lives and massive prison overpopulation gave birth to an auction system where anyone could purchase prisoners for any use free of legal ramifications.Acquired in the most recent bulk order of prisoners for BioMass Labs, you are being shuttled off for study at the Kohate testing facilities. No information is known about the details of the study. You have been black-bagged, loaded onto a transport shuttle, and are waiting for law enforcement to release you to the company.THE GAMEThe subject is a sci-fi puzzle game designed to combine a mix of classic puzzle adventure games with horror elements and visual aesthetics of early 80s sci-fi.You will need to learn to navigate the complex to find your way to the various testing rooms set out in the experiment and collect items needed to progress through the maze. You are being monitored by those running the tests and are required to visit a bio-data terminal periodically to record your vital signs and other data for record keeping. If you fail to do so, you will be removed from testing by euthanization.FeaturesPuzzlesCollectionCasual ModeTwitch IntegrationStealthSurvival 1075eedd30 Title: The SubjectGenre: Adventure, IndieDeveloper:DarkStone DigitalPublisher:DarkStone DigitalRelease Date: 30 Nov, 2018 The Subject Download Thepcgames definition of the subject english. the subjects of oceanic art are usually about. a subject quote. the subject in english. the notebook subject. the subject of good vibrations is spiritual enlightenment. the subject tonight is love pdf. the subject no. the subject cartoon. the subject english grammar. the subject in english grammar. the subject qualification. a subject definition english. the subject property best describes the property. the subject of electrical engineering. the subject en espanol. the subject refers. the subject znaczenie. the subject line of a letter appears. the subject tonight is love kate mcgarry. the subject game review. the hardest subject in school. the knowledge subject. the subject matter of sociology. a subject you studied at school. what is the subject english about. the subject heading. find the subject of x. the subject noun. the subject and the object. the subject bible free download. the subject verb agreement. subject 7 the flash. the offer is subject to our final confirmation. the subject gameplay. the subject gives your photograph what. the subject def. what are the jamb subject for mass communication. the subject of ymir. the easiest subject in engineering. the subject chinua achebe studied in college. the subject should sit with eyes closed. the subject line for a persuasive e-mail should. the subject necessary for social settlements summary If it wasn't for the stupid AI monster interrupting your puzzling every 5 seconds, this game would be a decent puzzler.. Way too dark as usual these days, can't see a thing and no way of knowing where you are. No torches no lighter or matches, just eternal darkness with a few lit corridors just for fun. I'm so sick of these games where everything is black and you are supposed to wander around aimlessly until you die of bordome. Dont bother with this rubbish. Also you cant rebind keys so that adds to the fun as well. Save your money and go buy a real game.. Honestly the game started out great, then it introduced a crawlspace to me and no matter how many times I restart the game it will NOT allow me to crawl through it. Runnin a gtx 1080 ti, i8700k, blah blah im sure you know where I'm going with that, its a well built computer. I've tried to verify integrity of files, and I still can't beat that crawlspace boss XD RIP. I want to ask dev team add subtitles in game - i mean that part when talking head ( spoooiiiillleeeerrrr next ) gives us some number sequence and add something like 'over 36' and im sure it's not what i'm hear cause english is not my focking native language!!!!%#$!$!%!%!%^!%! Make subs duuuuude!. Very atmospheric, with a sense of urgency. The monster that lurks in the corridoors has amazing sound quiality with the pounding footsteps on your heels as you scramble for somewhere to hide. Not quite as deadly as Aliens: Isolation where if the Alien saw you it was over, in this game you can escape at least if you are savvy enough. The puzzles are challenging and not easy which is nice, a challenge can be very rewarding once you figure them out.So far I would recommend this game alone just because of the atmosphere of the creature chasing you gives me sucha thrill and gets my heart pouding. Patch 1.1.1 Notes: Small patch today before the Unity update.- There is now a warning when starting a new game if saved game data exists. This is to prevent accidentally removing a saved game.- Started work on Xbox controller support. If you have one, you can simply start using it however not all functionality is there so you wouldn't have an awesome time. However, feedback is appreciated if you decide to try it.. The Subject is now on Linux!: Hey all! I'm sorry it's taken so long but as you know, being a solo developer makes things take longer than usual.I'm happy to say that I have ported The Subject over to Linux! I have tested on my local Linux machine as best I could. I have successfully tested the game on Ubuntu 18.10 and have pushed the build to Steam. Now that The Subject is on Linux, support will slow down a tad for The Subject as I continue work on my next co-development title The Deallocation with Reflect Studios and my next solo project (an escape room yet to be announced)I hope you enjoy the game and thank you so much to the supporters who have purchased the game so far. Take care everyone!-Brian. The Subject is now only $5: If you have had The Subject on your wish list - Now is the time to snatch up a copy! The Subject has been re-priced to just $5 on the heels of the new 2.0 release!Enjoy the new Twitch integration, casual mode (no monster), new puzzles, new mechanics, and more!. Patch 1.1.2 Notes: - Full Xbox controller support- Bio Check-in stations now save in addition to resetting your timer (you can still save by pressing ESC any time you want)- Some extra visual cues here and there. The controller is in and working but there is no in-game map yet, so to help, I made a quick map.Controller Map. Patch 1.2.0 - Key Binding and Smooth control: This is a rather large overhaul to the control system and I highly recommend getting this patch before your next play session.- Controller support is now fully implemented.- Key Binding has been fully implemented for both keyboard and controller. This can be found in the main menu under options, or in the key binding option in the in-game menu.- New first person system experience. Lots of work has been done on camera smoothing. The most noticeable issue of camera stutter when strafing is now fixed along with lots of other polish.- Crouching now requires holing the button rather than a toggle.- You can now jump (this is not necessary in the current game but will be useful in the large content update in the future.)- Saving is now only done at Bio-Check stations. The save option in the menu has been removed. This is to better fit with the general perception of the game upon first play through.. Patch 1.0.1 Notes: - Flashlight has a longer distance- some extra gating and order of activation- ease of navigation adjustments- fixed a bug where you could exit the ring lock room while solving and soft lock the game- fixed a bug with the number buttons where you could click an old number and accidentally reset- New loading screen. Large patch out soon - Twitch integration: INFO VIDEOHappy to announce that I will be pushing a rather large patch for The Subject soon! All the details are in the video linked above but here is a quick list! Twitch integration Casual mode Lore (story) mechanic New navigation help New maze puzzles & collection Bug fixesMore to come when the patch goes live!. Patch 1.1.4 Notes: - Various bug fixes- Fixed a number of locations the monster would get stuck- Fixed a bug where the end of long hallways may disappear- Key binding work started (not implemented). Hot Fix 2.0.3: Fixed an issue where Vsync being off could cause a number of control issues.I want to thank those that posted about this issue so that I could dig deeper into it!-Brian. Patch 1.1.3 Notes: - Fixed a bug where you could stand up through the wall at the door of the access tunnel hiding spaces- Fixed an issue where you would not be able to get the "beat the game without saving achievement" due to the new bio scan save system. (Save all you want and use the bio-scans, it now detects loading into a game instead of saving a game)- Fixed a lighting bug in the final area
